In the designer’s words
Olorun L’Oba features the use of iconic African/Nigerian symbols, carefully positioned in different areas of the Ruroc helmet and held together by the rich Adire pattern and texture. Each symbol has a meaning rooted in African Adinkra history. The largest symbol, in black with the white and red outline, signifies “God is King”, while the three symbols in gold signify “Courage, Beauty and Excellence”. An ode to “Built to Protect. Designed to Embolden”. The mock-up tells the rest.

In the designer’s words
I kinda love the art of Japanese demons. The front of the helmet shows the aggressive look of the teeth and the tongue. As in the Japanese legends of dragons, the horns are shown on both sides. The hair represents the look of a human, and for the background I used Arabic calligraphy to give the design a more artistic style.

Refinement
The designer works with the Ruroc Design Team to refine the artwork for production on the AT4.0 CARBON, so it holds up from every angle.

Production
The finished design goes into a limited run of just 100 helmets, with the designer credited as part of the launch.

The drop
The 100-unit limited drop is planned for 2027. Join the RMG to be first to hear when it lands.
