Imagine the warmth of a balaclava, the protection of a full-face helmet and fog-free goggles.
Too good to be true, right?
Ruroc's patented RAID (Rapid Air Intake Diffuser) system ensures that by wearing our full helmet system, your goggles will stay fog-free, and you'll stay warm and protected.
But how does that work, we hear you cry!
Well Rurocers, pull up a chair. It's time for the science bit...
RAID works by taking air in through the vents in our Gasket and MagLoc Lenses, into the Goggles and along the helmet shell, exiting through vents in the top of the helmet.
This process means you keep cool as you head down the mountain, and the air-flow will stop those goggles fogging up ahead of your next big trick.
If you're finding that your goggles are fogging up, there's a few things you can do combat the problem.
1 - Are you wearing a balaclava or face scarf? Having something over your mouth can impair the way that air flows through the helmet. Try removing your scarf, or moving it away from your mouth. This should help.
2 - Are you moving? You might find that your goggles fog if you're standing still for long periods, or during time on the ski-lift. This is because air isn't flowing through the helmet as it would do when travelling at speed down the mountain. As soon as you get moving again, those goggles should clear right up!
3 - Is your helmet assembled correctly? Make sure the bridge of the goggles meets up inside the face-mask. You can check it's correctly fitted by running your finger down the bridge of your nose. If the mask and the goggles don't align perfectly, you'll need to adjust them. (See below for example)
