These terms and conditions govern the sale of products to you by Ruroc Limited, registered in England and Wales company no. 7450896 whose registered office is at 29 Brunel Court, Waterwells, Quedgeley, Gloucester, United Kingdom, through our website, email, and telephone sales (hereafter "Ruroc.com" or "us") trading as an independent Merchant of Ski/Snowboard helmets and goggle systems.
These terms and conditions also contain provisions that govern your use of our website, whether or not you purchase any products from us.
Please read these conditions carefully before accessing our website and/or purchasing products from us. By accessing our website and/or ordering our products, you signify your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Our shopping pages will guide you through the steps you need to take to place an order with us. Our order process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order to us. Please take the time to read and check your order at each page of the order process. Please ensure that the information you provide during the order process is complete, true and accurate.
When you place an order to purchase a product from us, you will be sent an automated e-mail by Ruroc.com confirming receipt of your order and setting out the details of your order. This does not constitute an acceptance of your order.
Your order represents an offer to purchase a product from us which is accepted by us when we send an e-mail confirmation stating that we've dispatched that product to you (the "Dispatch Confirmation E-mail"). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail. Any products on the same order which have not been confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail as having been dispatched do not form part of that contract.
Items sold by us on the Ruroc website are dispatched from Gloucester, UK and can be dispatched to various locations around the world. All the times that we quote are UK local time.
Delivery Times are based on standard working days - Monday to Friday, no Saturday deliveries, excluding public holidays.
Orders for next day delivery need to be completed by 12pm.
Next working day delivery only applies to Mainland UK.
Orders made on Friday will be posted on the Monday.
All parcels must be signed for and acknowledged on delivery. If no one is available to accept delivery, we will attempt another delivery and hold your parcel for up for 7 days. If we are unable to deliver after 7 days, we will consider the delivery as failed and your parcel will be returned to Ruroc. On receipt of a failed delivery, Ruroc shall refund the order value less the delivery charge.
On delivery, please check the products carefully for any possible defects. If you believe that any of our products may be defective or of unsatisfactory quality, please notify [email protected] as soon as possible, where possible, or within a reasonable time. We ask that you take reasonable care of the products while your claim is being investigated. Please do not return any products which you believe may be defective before contacting [email protected] If you are returning a product from outside the UK, you are responsible for return postage costs and retaining proof of postage. If the products are confirmed defective or mis-described, we will reimburse you for reasonable return postage costs. If all products confirmed defective constitute the entire order or if all products were faulty or damaged, the original delivery charge will be reimbursed.
It is the buyer's responsibility to notify us if their order has not been received within 21 days of the estimated delivery date or receipt of our invoice. If no notification is made within this time period the buyer shall be deemed to have received the goods.
All claims against damage, loss or late delivery of your order must be taken up with the postage service provider. Ruroc will always look to help and may be able to offer advice on how to deal with your claim.
At Ruroc.com we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items due to sizing issues and faulty goods. That's why under our 14-day returns guarantee, if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, contact us within 7 days of purchase (at [email protected]) and you can return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of the date you received the item.
Our returns guarantee does not apply to custom made helmets or other products supplied to your own specification, nor to any helmets or products made to order.
By law, customers in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item (apart from any item that is custom made or made to order)_within fourteen days of the day after the date the item is delivered.
To cancel your purchase within the fourteen-day cooling-off period, please contact us at [email protected] to inform us that you wish to cancel your order. Please package the relevant item securely and send it to us using your personalised return label within 14 days following the date that the item was delivered to you.
Please note that we cannot accept returns if you deliver them to us by hand.
For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service if the value of the return is more than 50 GBP.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective. If we do not receive the item back from you with the delivery slip, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost.
You should be aware that once we begin the delivery process you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for additional services carried out by us (eg: gift wrapping).
As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with the item's standard postage charge.
We cannot usually reclaim the cost of any priority, express or courier services once they have been booked by us and we are therefore unable to refund the cost of these services once booking has taken place.
Customers outside the EU if you are not completely satisfied with the goods you have purchased and you notify us in writing within a 14 day period from receipt of goods we will happily refund the price of the product - after the product is returned to us. Unfortunately, we cannot refund any shipping costs incurred.
All goods advertised on the site are subject to availability. If an item that you wish to order is unavailable, we shall inform you by telephone or e-mail.
We shall not charge you for goods that we cannot supply for any reason, although, we may take pre-orders on items not currently held in stock but will always indicate this during the checkout process. However we will not be responsible for any losses or damage that may occur if we fail to supply goods.
We have made every effort to display all the goods on the website as accurately and fairly as possible.
We will meet our responsibilities under this contract within a reasonable time unless it is impossible to do so because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control; in particular we will not be responsible for delays caused by our suppliers.
If we are unable to dispatch a product due to unavailability or for any other reason we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund any payment taken without obligation to fulfil your order.
Please note, the images of our products on our site are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that your computer's display of the colours accurately reflect the colour of the products. Your products may vary slightly from those images.
We take reasonable care to ensure that the information and prices on our site are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Our site contains a large number of products. It is always possible that, despite our reasonable efforts some of the products on our site may be incorrectly priced. If we discover an error in the price of the products you have ordered we will contact you to inform you of this error and we will give you the option of continuing to purchase the product at the correct price or cancelling your order. We will not process your order until we have your instructions. If we are unable to contact you using the contact details you provided during the order process, we will treat the order as cancelled and notify you in writing. Please note that if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mispricing, we do not have to provide the products to you at the incorrect (lower) price.
All ownership, title and risk of loss and/or damage in the product you have purchased shall pass to you at the point and time at which such product leaves our UK warehouse.
If, despite having followed our Helmet Sizing Guidelines, you find that your purchased product does not fit properly, you have the following options:
Exchange: You can return your product to us, having agreed it with us first at [email protected]
Your purchase should be returned in good, undamaged condition and in a complete state with all its original packaging to exchange it for another product of the correct size, providing this is available on our site. Exchanges are made at the discretion of Ruroc.com. If you wish to return a product please contact us about the matter within 7 days of purchase and return the product to us with 14 days of the purchase.

Any item returned to us is at your own risk and cost. Please note that we will not be liable for any loss or damage to any returned items in transit and products remain your responsibility and property until we receive them. If returned items are lost or damaged in transit, we will have to charge you (or not to refund any amounts attributable to) such loss or damage. You must print out the "returns" email that we have provided you and enclose within the box. This email will detail the agreed returns process. No returns can be processed without these details!
If your delivery address is outside the UK, the addressee will be the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country into which the products are delivered. The product may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the country of delivery. Any such additional charges levied for customs clearance must be borne by you. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be at any time in the future. When you transact with us or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. We communicate with you directly by e-mail, text or by posting notices on the Ruroc.com website. We may periodically send promotional e-mails/texts about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address and/or phone number you have provided. By selecting to 'opt-in', you consent to receive communications from us electronically and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
We only supply our products for private use. You agree not to use the product for any commercial, business or resale purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
If we fail to comply with these terms and conditions, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence of our breach or if it was contemplated by you and us at the time we entered into this contract.
We do not in any way exclude or limit our liability for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
(c) defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987; or
(d) any other liability in respect of which it is unlawful to exclude or restrict liability.
Skiing, snowboarding, and other related activities are hazardous and dangerous sports. Participation may lead to injury or death of yourselves or third parties. The customer must fully accept and assume all risks, damages, injury or death which may result from such activities. Ruroc accepts absolutely no liability for any such damages, injuries, deaths or other costs incurred as a result of such activities (save as provided above).
We reserve the right to make changes to our policies, and these terms and conditions at any time. You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

The Crash Replacement Scheme is available worldwide and guarantees a 50% discount on the replacement of the broken component whether it is just the lens, mask or the solo helmet. Crash Replacement Scheme must be added to your purchase of an ATLAS, Shockwave RG-1, RG1-X or RG1-DX Helmet before completing checkout. Crash Replacement is only available at time of original purchase of an ATLAS, Shockwave, RG-1, RG1-X or RG1-DX and is non refundable.
Ruroc will always endeavour to provide your choice of replacement component but we reserve the right to substitute an alternative component should your preference not be available at the time of redemption at our absolute discretion. In the event of any kind of dispute, the extent of Ruroc's liability under this program will be the cost of refunding the Crash Replacement Scheme fee, where applicable. The Crash Replacement Scheme is non transferrable. The Crash Replacement Scheme can be redeemed any time after the original purchase. Offer is valid for 2 years from time of original purchase. Original receipt must be provided at time of redemption. Original damaged components should be returned to Ruroc at the time of redemption before the 50% discount can be claimed. Standard shipping rates will apply. Crash Replacement Scheme cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other offer or promotion and the 50% discount will only apply to the full RRP set by Ruroc at the time the scheme is claimed. Crash replacement can only be used to purchase a Limited Edition helmet if the original helmet purchased was also a Limited Edition. Offer may be withdrawn at any time.
Ruroc warrants all products to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase, subject to the provisions below.
If a Ruroc product fails due to defects in craftsmanship or materials, within the warranty period, we will repair or replace the product free of charge provided that you promptly notify us of any defect (in any event within 7 days) and you immediately cease to use the product in question. Be aware that this warranty is limited to the original purchaser only. For detailed information please see the guideline below and/or the product specification following the product.

- Before you return any product you must contact Ruroc by e-mail to obtain a return authorization.
- Arrange and pay for transport to Ruroc.
- Ensure that the returned product is washed, clean and dry before shipping. Dirty and/or foul smelling helmets will be returned unprocessed or may delay the process with an additional surcharge.
- Remember to include a note with your name, address and phone number AND, make sure to include a short statement explaining the warranty problem.
Alternatively, you may also return your product to the store from where you originally purchased the product. Any Ruroc dealer is able to handle the warranty process on your behalf.
NOTE: Damage due to wear and tear, accident, misuse, or neglect, or if you fail to store or use a product other than in accordance with the instructions provided, or damage due to any repairs carried out by you or a third party not authorised by us, is not covered under warranty. Please contact our warranty department if you have any questions.
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations that is caused by any act or event beyond our reasonable control, including without limitation strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action by third parties, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, or failure of public or private telecommunications networks or impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under any contract we have with you to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these terms and conditions. Where practicable, we will always notify you in writing or by posting on our website if this happens.
You may only transfer your rights or your obligations to another person if we agree in writing.
No person other than you or us shall have any rights to enforce any of these terms and conditions, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
Each of the paragraphs of these terms and conditions operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these terms and conditions, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.
These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
The provisions of this section apply to you regardless of whether you purchase any products through our website. By accessing our site, you agree to these provisions.
We may update our site from time to time, and may change the content at any time. However, please note that any of the content on our site may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update it.
