Mask Technology

Side view showing mask being fittedThe mask interfaces with the helmet and goggles and sits off the face. This prevents direct driving air to the face, whilst providing an effective windbreaker keeping the face warm. The mask is also detachable for when the wearer becomes too hot, wants a drink, or wishes to remove the helmet. Again, air intake apertures buffeted by foam inserts provide freedom of breath and exhaust warmed air/exhaled carbon dioxide up into goggle vent channels.

The mask is attached once the helmet and goggles are worn. The mask, which is made of a flexible material, (ABS) is squeezed, flexed inwards narrowing the distance between the two self sprung clips located at each side of the interior.

These are then pushed, slid through the locator tunnels found on each cheek vent of the helmet. These clips then snap into place and expand to normal size. This creates a tight but flexible fit with an easy mechanism to operate even when gloved. This posed many problems but the systems developed are simple and effective. This leaves a seamless communication between both helmet and goggle.
